Around the World 2010

10 months, 77 countries and

100,000 air kilometres

Reiner Meutsch’s circumnavigation of the world in 2010 was the reason for the founding of the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP.

Reiner Meutsch and his co-pilot Arnim Stief spent ten months flying around the world in a small Piper Cheyenne aircraft. Having taken off at Siegerland Airport (North Rhine-Westphalia), the route initially took them via the (authentic) Africa and bustling Asia to the vastness of Australia. Passing the diverse landscape of North America, they continued their journey into the colourful hustle and bustle of Latin America. Then along the east coast of the USA, Greenland and Iceland back to Siegerland in Germany.

They travelled more than 100,000 air kilometres and visited and flew over 77 countries.

During the circumnavigation of the world, they supported and visited the Foundation's first five schooling projects in Ghana, India, Brazil, Rwanda and Indonesia.
